This is a painting I did for Plein Air Moab, 2013. It was a blustery cold day. I started it outside in my back yard. When it was mostly finished and my body was shivering... I moved indoors to my double glass door and put on the finishing touches. This is a Red Bud tree in my yard that is barely surviving. I liked the graceful branches and the fall colors coming into the leaves. When I finished it, I noticed that it had a rainbow effect, so that is how it got it's name Autumn Rainbow.
