This painting was done in Plein Air October of 2016. I pulled off on a little dirt path on HWY 191 about 10 miles south of Moab. I sat and enjoyed a fine autumn day above Kane Creek. The delicate structure of the Rabbit Brush got my attention, that, and the sculpted rock in the background. This painting was turned in for a competition, but has since undergone some changes. Sometimes, Plein Air paintings get some special attention in the studio.
