In an a world that seems to be becoming more diverse and polarized one thing that can always heal is the arts. In the face of rising inequality, populism, anti-immigrant sentiments, religious divisions, ethnic conflicts, geopolitical rivalries and nuclear threats, finding the space and means to bridge divides has never been more important. Art can bridge divides, cultures and rivalries. The appreciation of art breeches language and cultural barriers.

Time slows down,  the viewer becomes enveloped. The painting they are looking at isn't the painting anymore. It becomes this place that's entirely other from itself. Larry's art often connects and brings us beyond our conscious perceptions of them. Transporting our unconscious, deep-seated responses are what bring us back to the arts for more and more. Nourishing and renewing us just as food and air and water do. At the same time, we're carried away from our sensory and analytical selves, lifted or plunged into a web of emotion and association. Making the world a smaller place Larry's art now brings found memories to Viola and Wolfgang.

"About a year ago we spent a wonderful holiday in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and  Montana. We found a small painting of Mr. Christensen and  took it home to Germany. It took me some time to have it framed, now it is on the wall with our other souvenirs from the US. "
