HOW  FRIENDSHIPS  ARE  MADE IN A GALLERY SETTING

     Buying art is exciting!!  It’s thrilling because acquiring art requires the partnership of at least two people - the artist and the buyer. This exchange of artwork from the artist to the buyer is like forming a lasting friendship. At Gallery Moab the crisp, white walls are filled with outstanding and captivating art work.  Much of what can be seen at Gallery Moab and on its website, www.gallerymoab.com, is the landscape of Moab and surrounding areas.  These are exciting pieces filled with dramatic lighting, rock formations, and/or rich azure skies.

     Albert Einstein said, “Creativity is contagious, pass it on.”  That was definitely true for him, but it also is true for the many talented artists at Gallery Moab in downtown Moab, Utah.  The artists, here, want to pass that creativity on to you. 

     “Creativity takes courage,” said Henri Matisse, who was a master painter of design and color.  The artists at the gallery, sometimes need to use strength of mind and dexterity to create a painting which is just right for you.  They can do it.

     How do you, the buyer, know what piece of art is right for you?  “Great Art is Great because it inspires you greatly.  It doesn’t matter what the critics and the museums say.” (Yoko Ono).  If you like it, it is great art.  Find art that speaks to you wherever and whenever you go.  Form a lasting friendship with an artist.

STATE OF THE ARTS:

      World Photography Day is August 19th. Photographers celebrate by sharing a favorite photo. Ten years ago the first online gallery with these photos reached out to the entire globe. In honor, Dan Norris, a photographer and patron member of Gallery Moab, was asked to share his favorite photo taken between Jan. 1, 2020 and July 31, 2020.

     Viewed from Courthouse Towers in Arches National Park, Comet Neowise was captured on film on the clear night of July 19th, 2020. Dan says,” Capturing the Comet and its double tail was a once in a lifetime experience because it won’t return to Earth’s view for 6,800 years.”  It is truly an amazing and breathtaking photo!  In the vertical version CAN YOU find a very visible constellation?  Gallery Moab is proud to offer a 16” x 24” matte surface metal print of the horizontal version.
